Made it a week...

Made it an entire week without having to go back into the hospital.  Well i guess that  is not entirely true, I did have an appointment at MGH, but just routine.  Oh and wait my feeding tube got blocked on Tuesday and even though my Aunt and I tried to clear it, and the Visiting Nurse and I tried to clear it we were unsuccessful.  This required that I go to the Emergency Room to have it cleared.  After waiting 4 hours they were able to clear it in less than 10 minutes using the same process I had used with my Aunt and the Nurse.  Next time I'll stay home for four hours and just try and do it myself.   I need to make sure I keep it flushed so that it does not happen again.  So I guess I was way off with my first sentence, what was I thinking, a week without a hospital visit, your so silly Barbara.  Anyways, other than that the week was truly uneventful.  I've only been sick a handful of times which is really good for me.  I'm able to eat small amounts of food.  For now the plan is just to stay on the tube feed and keep eating for the next two weeks and then we will re-access the situation.  As always thanks for reading and keeping me in your thoughts.  XOXOX  Barbara
